Meet Ryan

Since I’ve been old enough to pick up a pencil, I’ve always loved the idea that you can construct an image from a blank piece of paper or canvas. Currently, my two most predominant sources of inspiration for my work come from my lifelong love for aviation and space travel and my continually growing appreciation for western, cowboy, and horse culture. Other subject matters have included professional athletes and my home state of Arizona’s unique mixture of desert, mountains, saguaros, and monsoon storms.

I believe in America, good bourbon, the perfectly cooked medium-rare NY strip steak. I believe that Martin guitars and Fender basses are the finest sounding and most superbly crafted musical instruments anyone can buy. I believe there should be a constitutional amendment outlawing steaks cooked “well done,” and I believe that burgers cooked on a flat surface are superior to ones that are cooked on a grill. I believe in good art, a good brand, movie quotes, gifs, memes, and I believe in long, slow, deep, wet biographies inspired by Crash Davis from the movie Bull Durham.
